Travis Kelce Laughs Off NFL Commentator's Taylor Swift Puns amid Dating Rumors: 'Well Played'

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was a good sport as NFL commentator Rich Eisen continued his Taylor Swift quips.

Travis Kelce doesn’t have “Bad Blood” for people wondering if he’s dating Taylor Swift.

On Sunday, NFL Network’s Rich Eisen had a little fun during Kelce’s pregame coverage ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game. During the show, the sports announcer dropped plenty of references to Swift while discussing the tight end.

“Kelce finds an empty space for a score!” Eisen said at one point on the live stream, nodding to the Grammy winner’s 2014 Billboard Hot 100 single “Blank Space.”

However, one reference to Swift was not quite enough for the commentator.

“You saw it Thursday night, when Travis Kelce wasn’t in, he left an ’empty space,’ but I think he’s coming back today and proving that he’s an ‘anti-hero.’ It never goes ‘out of style,’” added Eisen.

A clip of the show was shared in a joint Instagram post with Eisen and the NFL Network. Each time the broadcaster made a reference to Swift, a chime would be heard to record the result.

Eisen continued to quip with Swift as he captioned the stream, “Look what you made me do, @killatrav.”

The Chiefs star was a good running joke.

“Well played Rich…. Well played 👏🏻😂,” wrote 33-year-old Kelce.

During a postgame interview Thursday night, Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, was asked if his sibling was seeing Swift, 33.

“I saw those rumors. I can’t comment,” Jason, 35, told panelist and retired NFL star Tony Gonzalez, who asked if the football center could handle the issue on behalf of his 15-year-old daughter.

While Jason didn’t confirm or deny the rumors, he did offer a bit of theory as to why people might have been interested.

“Ever since Catching Kelce everyone was crazy about Travis’ love life,” Jason said, referring to his brother’s brief stint on the reality TV dating show. “I don’t really know what’s going on there, but I know Travis is having fun and we’ll see who he ends up with.”

The speculation about a possible romance could be linked to the fact that the Kansas City athlete previously admitted that he tried to spark a relationship with the “Enchanted” singer in the past.

In the July episode of the series New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Travis joked that he tried his best to get Swift to give out his phone number with one of her famous Eras Tour friendship bracelets earlier in the summer, but failed to score out of the ballpark.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings, so I was a little bummed that I didn’t get to give her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Travis said, adding: ” She doesn’t meet anyone, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personally.”

In April, Swift split from English actor Joe Alwyn after six years of dating. She was then linked to The 1975 frontman Matty Healy before calling it quits soon after.

“They are absolutely not together and they’re not even in touch anymore. She’s enjoying being alone and spending time in the studio and hanging out with friends in New York. This is all BS,” a source told PEOPLE of Swift and the rumors Healy’s restart in July.
