Travis Kelce knows how to play with the ball!
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, was named the league’s top tight end and ninth-best player in the NFL 100, an annual ranking compiled by professional football players who vote for the best players among their peers.
“Best tight end in the National Football League,” the Chiefs’ official Instagram account captioned a photo of Kelce, who joined the team in 2013, on Saturday, Aug. 3, celebrating the accomplishment, which was posted a day earlier.
“Kelce has reached new heights of popularity in 2023, but that kind of recognition among his peers has been a constant in the Top 100,” began the NFL’s post about the athlete, subtly referencing his relationship with girlfriend Taylor Swift, who they dated in public during the 2023-2024 football season.
This year marks the fourth time in a row that New heights the co-host was named the best tight end in the league, according to the NFL.

“A surefire model of consistency, Kelce was a force to be reckoned with during Kansas City’s successful run to back-to-back Super Bowls,” the NFL said, adding that the athlete caught 32 balls for 355 total yards. and three touchdowns in the last two consecutive Super Bowls (which the Chiefs won).
The record also noted that Kelce is quickly approaching postseason receiving records with his Super Bowl performances, resulting in three championships for him.

“Kelce, who ranks fourth all-time in receiving yards for a TE, has carved out an incredible Hall of Fame career that was once quietly preserved,” the celebratory note concluded. “Today, it’s anything but the latest pop culture heartthrob.”
Two other Chiefs players made the top ten in the NFL’s Top 100 — defensive end Chis Jones (who came in sixth) and running back Patrick Mahomes (who was named the fourth-best player in the NFL).

Mahomes, 28, and Kelce recently received another honor when they were both named members of Madden’s 99 Club, an honor given to players who have a 99 Overall (OVR) in the popular video game.
The Chiefs’ Instagram account celebrated the duo’s achievement by posting a video of both receiving the customized gifts that come with the honor.
“The best duo in the league is back in Club 99! 🎮,” the team captioned the post.
