While Travis Kelce recently inspired Taylor Swift to adapt some of his lyrics on tour, he also has Jimmy Fallon penning some of his own.
Just days after fans of the NFL tight end, 34, discovered a few of his healthy old tweets, Fallon, 49, and rapper Black Thought delivered a song dedicated to Kelce’s most touching moments online.
On Friday, the duo appeared on Tonight’s show to perform “The Ballad of Travis Kelce,” a song in which the pair came up with rhymes for Kelce’s silly past tweets about squirrels, Dave and Busters, Taco Bell and naps.
Taylor Swift fans ‘totally on board’ with Travis Kelce after NFL star’s salacious old tweets resurface
“Travis used to tweet a lot, no he wouldn’t quit,” Black Thought, 52 (real name Tariq Trotter), began the track before Fallon chimed in and rhymed the verse with Kelce’s classic: “I just gave a squirrel a piece of bread and all it was just crushed.”
The opening lines set viewers up for what would be a call-and-response between Fallon and The Roots rapper, as they gave those at home a glimpse of Kelce’s use of X (formerly Twitter) a decade ago.
“He was really deep sometimes, he would inspire the whole world,” Black Thought snapped, before Fallon added a Kelce quote: “The most powerful weapon on this earth is a human soul on fire!”
“Then I’d take it down a notch and keep things super light,” the duo continued, rhyming it with, “Sure I’m gonna grab some Taco Bell and see what’s popular tonight.”
After sharing Kelce’s thoughts on Olive Garden, the pair finished the song in unison. “Today we read every little thing he writes,” Black Thought said before Fallon chimed in with another Kelce tweet: “Merry Christmas everyone and good night everyone.”
“TIME TO BREAK,” the duo ended the song, referencing one of Kelce’s more memorable lines on social media.

Travis Kelce talks about the ‘good food’ he had with Taylor Swift on their date in Argentina
Of course, Fallon and Black Thought only used samples of Kelce’s tweets in their new song, since his biggest hits also include his musings on Chipotle, a lost phone, and staring at the moon.
While Kelce may not be tweeting as often as he used to, he still talks about his life with his brother Jason on their New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast.

During Wednesday’s episode, the athlete got candid about seeing Swift, 33, perform in Buenos Aires, where she changed the lyrics to “Karma” in his honor. “Karma’s a guy from the Chiefs, coming straight to my house,” Swift sang.
“Yeah, no, I had no idea that…” Kelce said, before admitting, “Well, maybe I had a little idea, but definitely when I heard it coming out of her mouth, [it] still shocked me.”
“I thought, ‘Oh, she really said that,'” he added.
