Trey Holly is the winningest running back in Louisiana high school history. An LSU running back walked into the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office Thursday. Trey Holly’s promising caregiver may be about to collapse. Holly, a freshman at LSU, rushed for 110 yards on 11 carries last season. Holly scored 160 touchdowns and broke the Union Parish High School all-time rushing record.
The teenager is believed to have been involved in a shooting at an apartment complex on February 9. The incident occurred within the municipal limits of Farmerville, Louisiana. Two people were injured, and sheriffs discovered gunshot wounds. LSU said Trey has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities. Holly was selected as the Louisiana Class 3A Offensive Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021.

Trey Holly, 19, is a native of Farmerville, Louisiana. Holly, an LSU freshman, graduated from Union Parish High School, where he was the most decorated running back in school history. He grew up an LSU fan. Holly believed LSU was an NFL club because of the level of competition and facilities.
In a 2022 interview with The News-Star, Holly said, “What kid grows up in Louisiana and doesn’t want to play for Louisiana? “LSU is my favorite team, so I’ll be here for four years.” Holly, a four-star running back prospect from Union Parish, broke the state’s all-time high school rushing record with 10,523 total yards. Holly ran for 849 yards and eleven touchdowns in his first season at Union Parish. He backed that up with 1,638 yards and eleven touchdowns, and then Holly had 2,709 yards and 22 touchdowns in his sophomore season. In his junior year, Trey had 2,633 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also led Union Parish to the LHSAA Class 3A final, where the Farmers lost to Sterlington 26-24.
In 2022, Holly led his team to another title, but this time Union Parish was defeated by Many. Holly finished his high school career with 2,694 yards and 38 touchdowns. Holly was listed as the No. 10 running back by ESPN and No. 172 overall in the Class of 2023. Rivals.com ranked him as the fourth-best running back in the country.

Trey Holly is one of Tamara Holly’s five children. Takya Holly, Trey’s older sister, recently started a GoFundMe page in hopes that her audience will help her raise Trey’s legal fees. The goal is set at $30,000, and $622 has already been raised. The running back faces three felony charges in connection with the alleged attempted murder at an apartment complex on Feb. 9.
Holly was charged with attempted second-degree murder, unlawful use of a firearm and aggravated damage to property. His bail was set at $512,000. He was one of three people arrested in connection with the shooting. Takya, along with Trey, is seeking funds for Tamarion Holly, their potential brother, on their GoFundMe page.
According to People, the 16-year-old is also charged with attempted second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property and unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor. The bail amount for the juvenile was $522,000. So this 16 year old is most likely Tamarion. Jordan Ramond Jones, another teenager, was also charged with attempted second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
