Tyla Wears a Blue Version of Aaliyah’s Roberto Cavalli Animal Print Dress from the 2000 MTV VMAs

Tyla’s outfit was inspired by Aaliyah.

For the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 10, the “Water” singer wore a blue version of the Roberto Cavalli dress that the “Back & Forth” singer famously wore to the 2000 MTV VMAs.

Tyla, 22, completed the iconic look with a silver choker and black strappy heels that reached her knees.

When the late Aaliyah wore the dress 24 years ago, hers was a yellow version, paired with a more classic strappy heel, red lip gloss and white nail polish.
