Umo Eno Age and early life
Umo Eno was born on May 10, 1964. He hails from Ikot Ekpene in the Eastern Region of Nigeria. (now in Akwa Ibom State). In a recent interview with “The Guardian”, he claimed that he spent his youth in the Police Barracks. Since his father was a policeman, he grew up as a confident child in the police barracks. In his youth, he got to know intertribal life. Pastor Umo was not born into a rich Nigerian family.
His best academic degree is a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Uyo. He also conducted studies to complete his Ph.D. degree from the University of Uyo. In addition, he stated in the interview that he attended a local government school in Ikeja for his primary education. However, he never participated in football or other activities while in high school. Umo Eno was then admitted to Eket’s high school St. Francis, but he did not complete his education there. He transferred to Victory High School in Ikeja, where he completed his education. After his education, he got a job in a bank and started earning money for further education. Later, after a long struggle, he obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. He got married very young.

His successful career began in 1982, when he started working as a competent employee at the Union Bank of Nigeria. Between 1985 and 1990, he also worked for Bertola Machine Tools before joining Norman Holdings Limited from 1990 to 1997. At Norman Holdings Limited, Umo Eno served as Group General Manager (GGM).
In addition, he served as the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom Hotels and Tourism Board from 2004 to 2007. His distinguished work earned him numerous public spirited lifetime honors.
