Schedule for literacy week

Literacy Week: The Union Government plans to organize a literacy week in commemoration of International Literacy Day to create awareness among beneficiaries, stakeholders and citizens about ‘ULLAS-Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram’. The event will take place from September 1 to 8, 2023.

The aim of this campaign is the large participation of people in order to arouse a sense of duty and public participation. Several activities will be organized, and the celebration will end on September 8, 2023.

The campaign intends to increase the number of volunteer and student registrations on the mobile application ‘Understanding Lifelong Learning for Everyone in Society’ (ULLAS). Students from Government and Government Aided Schools, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Affiliated Schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodya Vidyalaya, Training Institutions under NCTE, Higher Education Institutions under AICTE, NCC, NSS Volunteers, Scouts, Guides, Gram Panchayats, Anganwadi workers will participate in the campaign.
