Unusual optical illusion reveals your biggest fears – but it all depends on what you see in the picture first

THERE are many different types of optical illusions – some can distort the world around you, and others can reveal intimate information about yourself.

These clever images might reveal your worst fears, but it all depends on what you see first.

The illusion test, originally shared by Times Now, is doing the rounds on social media and people can’t get over its accurate findings.

The first image shows two potential things – and what you see will reveal your deepest fears.

If you saw a rodent

So, if you saw a rodent, it may mean that your deepest fear is that you rely too much on other people.

You just love your independence, but sometimes you tend to take it too far.

Not only that, but you’ll probably go out of your way to avoid anyone who makes fun of or puts you down.

You don’t want people to think you’re incompetent, so do everything in your power to appear confident.

However, that need for control can also be a bad thing, even if it means you’re the one in charge.

If you saw a man

If you saw the side profile of a man in an optical illusion, you probably have a fear of isolation and can’t bear to be left in your own company for a long time.

Unlike the first group, you like to be in the company of people and constantly crave human interaction.

Even though you could be alone if you really wanted to be, you never give yourself the chance to experience solitude because you’re always looking for the next big event.

When it comes down to it, your biggest fear is being left alone, so you cling to every interaction because you’re afraid it could be your last.

The same optical illusion test was also shared on social media, and it’s safe to say that people were just as amazed as it seemed to be accurate.

One commented on the snap, shared by @psychologylove100, “Lord why are you always so punctual?”

Another wrote: “That’s me! I always tell my daughters to let me do everything by myself, it’s not because I don’t like help, it means I’m healthy and happy.”

This one can reveal one’s hidden personality traits, all depending on which animal it spots first.

Simply look at the picture below and the animal you see first will reveal all.

If you have seen a black cat, your personality is probably not too similar to the animal.

You love your own company, but you can still be playful and curious when the time is right.

You are eager to learn and love to take on new challenges, as long as you can be left to solve them on your own.

However, if you saw the mouse first, you are naturally a more cautious person.

Shyness is your main personality trait, but you can also be very self-conscious.

You are very good at observing the world around you, which makes you incredibly resourceful and good at reading people.

What are optical illusions and how do they work?

An optical illusion is an image or video created to distort your sense of reality, making you believe you’re seeing one thing when in fact it’s something else entirely.

How do they work?

When you look at things, your brain sends all the information to your brain, but when there are gaps in that information, your brain will fill in the gaps.

This means that your brain can trick you into thinking you’re seeing something when it’s not actually there.

Humans evolved for this because survival depends on quick reaction, so your brain will automatically try to solve things with whatever information it can get, no matter how small.
