Katie Santry finally figured out what was hiding in the carpet buried under her house.

The 34-year-old Columbus, Ohio native first went viral on TikTok after sharing a video of herself and her boyfriend, Brandon, finding a rug buried deep in the ground while building a fence in their backyard. After thinking about how to handle the situation, Santry finally decided to call the police. On Thursday, October 3, investigators arrived at her home with the dogs’ carcasses.

Santry live-streamed the update on TikTok, filming two cadaver dogs sitting where the carpet was found. The sight shocked Santry and the 100,000 live viewers. She also revealed more about the investigation in a TikTok video, which went viral with 8.2 million views.

On Friday, October 4, a team of police officers and investigators returned to Santry’s house to do their own digging. And after keeping her followers on the edge of their seats, Santry finally gets answers, revealing to the world what the team found.

“They recovered the hole and it was the most absurd, craziest experience of my life,” Santry says in a TikTok video. “What did they find? No, they didn’t find the body, they found the mother whipping the rug with some rubber. The question remains why the dogs were sitting. I don’t know. Both dogs, not just one two. I The other question remains who broke my laptop ” she adds, referring to an incident at her home where her computer mysteriously crashed.

“I’m so confused,” she continues. “There’s no body, there’s no body. Honestly, we praise God there’s no body. I can stay in my house… everyone knows where I live, but at least it’s not haunted.”

“But the mystery of the mat is solved and there is no body,” she continues. “And they do a good job of recopying my stuff.”

Woman Discovers Rug Buried In Her Lawn — And The Internet Is Convinced It’s A Dead Body (Exclusive)

Since the post on Friday afternoon, more than 7,000 people have joined the conversation in the comments.

“I just can’t accept this answer,” one person commented.

“Why does it bother me that there was no body…😂,” someone else wrote.

“I don’t know what to do with my life now!!!” read another comment.

Coming to a conclusion, Santry, who has since amassed nearly 2 million followers on TikTok and 40,000 followers on Instagram, told PEOPLE in a previous interview that she did her own investigation and digging before going to the police.

Initially, after finding the rug, she found a listing agent for her home and spoke with the daughter of the original home owners. She learned that the house was built in 1967 and that only one family had lived in it before. From their conversation, the previous family had no idea why the rug was buried; although they had dogs, no one ever dug at the site and they were all cremated after they died, ruling out the thought of a pet being buried there.

Santry then decided to have her own digging party with her friends to see what they could find. At the time, she told PEOPLE that she would eventually give up if they couldn’t dig up the rug themselves.

She said, “If I dig in one direction, I’d hit a stone pit, which would destroy everything. If I dig in the other direction, just two feet above, there’s a bush taller than me—like a 10-foot bush.”

“I already destroyed one tree, which made some farmers on TikTok very upset because, apparently, bloodied trees are very expensive,” she added. “I don’t want to kill another bush, so I’m honestly torn. If I put a post in there and then something else weird happens, now there’s cement over it and I’m kind of stuck trying to figure it out again. Well, I mean, OK, for now we’re just sitting on the fence trying to decide what to do.”
