UPtv’s 2023 Christmas Lineup Includes 8 New Movies, a Gaither Special and 45 Days of Fa La Las (Exclusive)

It’s never too early to get excited about TV Christmas movies — and UPtv will be delivering a bunch of new ones this season!

PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that the network will premiere eight new holiday movies in 2023, starring stars like Melissa Peterman, Shores of the Chesapeake alum Jessica Sipos, A virgin riverSarah Dugdale and even the wrestler Chris Jericho.

The Gaither Vocal Group will also get their own musical special, Christmas Homecoming.

“The Most Exciting Christmas Ever,” according to the network, will begin 45 days — and nearly 600 hours — with the first of its new original movie premieres, We are ScroogedNovember 5. Additionally, on Nov. 3, its streaming subscription service UP Faith & Family will begin streaming more than 200 Christmas favorites.

“At UP Entertainment, curating exciting, diverse and uniquely special holiday offerings for our viewers each year is our passion,” said Hector Campos, Senior Vice President of Content Strategy and Acquisition at UP Entertainment. “Celebrating the true meaning of the season is at the forefront of our selection process, and our films celebrate the magic of the holiday season with stories of family, love, hope and faith.”

When former high school sweethearts return to Minneapolis for the Snowball High School 10-year-old Christmas weekend reunion, they both check into a hotel alone. Although their friends called them “Ross and Rachel,” Sarah and Scott split up after college and went on to their own high-profile careers. After running in the opening event, both are warned that they will be visited by three Christmas spirits over the next three days. As they dreamed each night, they shared experiences reliving their past and present Christmases. These unsettling yet comical visits help them both see what they’ve given up. And that they gave up on each other. When the Ghost of Christmas Future visits them separately, they must both decide whether to reunite or lose their love forever.

When Tiffany’s best friend James comes to her house looking for a family heirloom engagement ring that he left for her to keep, she quickly realizes that he wants to use it to propose to another woman. Now Tiffany has three days, a road trip and a bit of Christmas magic to make James realize that the woman he really wants has been right in front of him all along.

But when the sisters get the chance to participate in a live show on Christmas Eve, which will advance their budding careers, they are faced with a difficult decision; they might perform and get a much-needed boost in the industry, but that means they won’t be spending a very special Christmas with their family.
