Usher Shouts Out Son Cinco on Stage in Las Vegas on 16th Birthday After Epic Atlanta Celebration

Usher was one of the proud dads as he paid tribute to his eldest son on stage on Sunday.

While performing at his Las Vegas residency, “Yeah!” singer, 45, took the moment to recognize son Usher “Cinc” V on his 16th birthday.

“This is a special night for me because my firstborn was born tonight. It’s Cinco’s birthday and I’m dedicating this show to him, which is why I worked so hard,” he told the cheering crowd in a video he shared in an Instagram post on Sunday.

“Happy super sixteen to my first born @cincoye celebrating the U in ATL & Vegas,” he captioned the post.

Dad also shared a FaceTime between the two where the former wished him a happy birthday.

“I want to be the first to wish you a happy birthday,” he told his son, as they laughed and exchanged “I love you”s during the call.

Usher’s 4 children: Everything you need to know

Usher shares Naviyd and Usher V with ex-wife Tameka Foster, and Sire and Sovereign with girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea.

When it comes to spending time with his older boys and younger couple, Usher recently said it takes “commitment.”

“I try my hardest to build my schedule around times when they’re not in school,” he explained. “My youngest, 1 and 2 years old, they are here [in Las Vegas]while my two sons are now less interested in spending time with me, strangely.”

Laughing, he joked, “unless I’m taking them to a concert or paying for something they want.”

In November 2022, Usher shared what his oldest boys think about his global fame. He noted that Usher V prefers to use his nickname to separate himself from his father.

“I have one son, Cinco, who doesn’t like being called Usher, who’s trying to get away from it,” he told Tamron Hall. “Then another son, Naviyd, who really loves fun.”

“Not only does he watch my show, he also criticizes me,” he said of his second son.

“He says, ‘You missed this. You didn’t do this.’ And I say, ‘Yeah, that’s the point. It shouldn’t be the same every night,'” added the musician.

Usher said he doesn’t mind the comments. “If it’s an inspiration for him, then great. And if it makes him feel pushed to be creative, then great.”
