Usher Thanks ‘Queen’ Rihanna for Her Super Bowl Halftime Show Support: ‘Real Recognize Real’

Usher shows his gratitude to Rihanna!

On Wednesday, the “Boyfriend” singer, 45, shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) of Rihanna expressing her support ahead of his 2024 Super Bowl halftime performance.

“Right recognizes right Thank you Queen @rihanna,” Usher wrote on X while reposting a clip of the Fenty founder, who headlined an event in February as she revealed her second pregnancy with partner A$AP Rocky.

“I can’t give Usher any advice,” Rihanna said in the video after being asked if she had any advice to pass on. “Usher is a natural, he’s a legend and he’s been doing this since he was a teenager.”

“He was made for that show,” the “Lift Me Up” singer continued in the clip. “I get excited about entertainers who do it, who are made to do it, and he just proved that in Vegas that he’s not going anywhere.”

The 2024 Super Bowl halftime will mark Usher’s second Super Bowl appearance. In 2011, he performed alongside the Black Eyed Peas when they headlined the event.

The “U Got It Bad” singer wrapped up his My Way residency in Las Vegas earlier this month. Overcome with emotion, Usher was captured falling to his knees as his dance crew surrounded him for the final performance of the residency, which begins in July 2022.

Super Bowl LVIII will air live on CBS on February 11, 2024.
