Amanat Ali KhanUstad Amanat Ali khan (1922-1974) was a Pakistani singer, ghazal singer and composer. He belongs to Patiala Gharana who played traditional and classical Hindustani music. He sang a duet with his brother Ustad Bade Fateh Ali Khan, which was broadcast by Radio Pakistan Radio Lahore. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the singer achieved great fame. In 1969, Khan was awarded the Distinguished Performance Award by the President of Pakistan. He is also known as the “Master of Patiala Gharana” for his extraordinary voice. The singer died on September 18, 1974.

Ustad Amanat Ali Khan was born in 1922 in Sham Chaurasi, Hoshiarpur, Punjab (age 52; time of death). In 1947, after the partition of India, he had to move to Pakistan with his family.
