Vaibhavi Upadhyaya passed away in a road accident in North India on May 22, 2023 but the news broke on May 23, 2023. The news of her death was shared by producer JD Majethia in a post on his Instagram story where he wrote,
“Life is so unpredictable. A very good actress dear friend of Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as ‘Jasmine’ from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai has passed away. She had an accident in the north. The family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for the last rites. RIP Vaibhavi (sic).”
The news of her death came days after Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead on May 22, 2023 in his apartment in Andheri, Mumbai.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’s comedy star Rupali Ganguly shared a photo of Vaibhavi on her Instagram story where she wrote,

How did the accident happen?
The accident took place in Banjaro, Kullu on 23rd May 2023. Actress Vaibhavi Upadhyay was going for a walk in the Tirthan Valley in Banjaro with her fiance in his rich car.
The car suddenly lost control at a turn at Sidhwa near Banjar and the actress died after falling about 50 meters below the road. The vehicle fell into a ditch.
The local police received a report about the traffic accident and went to the scene. The police saw Vaibhavi in the car and they found her dead. Vaibhava’s dead body was handed over to her relatives.

Actress Vaibhavi Upadhyay was an engaged woman. She was engaged to Jai Suresh Gandhi. Both were going to visit the Tirthan Banjar Valley and were involved in a road accident on May 23, 2023.
Vaibhavi died at the scene of the incident, while her fiance Jai Surest Gandhi was rushed to Banjar Hospital where he was treated. He received minor injuries.
