Vanessa Lachey is celebrating her and husband Nick Lachey’s journey around the sun together!
In a touching tribute shared on Instagram on Thursday, NCIS: Hawaii actress, 43, reflected on the many birthdays they spent together and how she knew the 98 Degrees singer was the one.
“❤️9. November 2006❤️,” she captioned a photo of the couple’s first birthday dinner. “We celebrated our first birthday together 18 years ago. I’ll never forget the feeling I had in my heart when you told me we had the same birthday!”
She continued: “You were meant for me! I love sharing my birthday with you, but more importantly, I love sharing life with you! Happy birthday my love! Us! ❤️.”

The couple married on July 15, 2011, on Sir Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the Caribbean.
Shortly after saying “I do,” Nick spoke with PEOPLE and explained that seeing Vanessa as his wife for the first time was a moment he’ll never forget.
“It literally took my breath away,” he said. “It’s the kind of moment you dream about and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.”

In the years since, the duo has been busy raising their three little ones: sons Phoenix, 6, and Camden, 10, and daughter Brooklyn, 8. They’ve also entertained viewers on Netflix Love is blindon which they have been co-hosts since 2020.
Nick and Vanessa celebrated 12 years of marriage in July. The One Tree Hill alum reflected on everything that’s happened since he said “I do” — thanks to their “beautiful life together with three amazing kids.”
“Vanessa, not a day goes by that I’m not grateful for your love, your patience, your understanding, your fight and determination, your support and your willingness to always work through hard times,” he wrote alongside photos from their wedding day. “Although we don’t always have everything figured out, nor do we claim to be, we know that together we can find our way.”
