Vanessa Redgrave goes out in style!
On Sunday, September 15, the film legend attended the Roksanda Spring 2025 fashion show at London’s Space House. The 87-year-old Oscar winner donned a cream coat and black trousers for the catwalk as she and her daughter Joely Richardson, 59, posed for a few photos.
Richardson wore a pink coat and skirt combo as she stood next to her mother in what marked a rare public outing for Redgrave – who has been attending the London Fashion Week festivities for years.

Redgrave was also snapped posing for photos with actress Zawe Ashton, musician Nadiah Adu-Gyamfi and others.
Roksand’s latest collection, according to WWD, was inspired by environmental artist Agnes Denes, who planted a wheat field in Manhattan in 1982. Designer Roksanda Ilinčić said that with her look she “wanted to give a sense of romance – and optimism,” according to the outlet.

Redgrave previously attended the Roksande show in September 2023, when she was also joined by her daughter. She has since attended several other events including the Shakespeare Celebration at Grosvenor House, where she sat next to Queen Camilla in February. She also accepted the 2024 Pragnell Shakespeare Birthday Award at the Shakespeare Birthday Lunch at Avonbank Gardens in April.
Redgrave shares Richardson with ex Tony Richardson, with whom she also welcomed her late daughter Natasha Richardson. She is also the mother of Carlo Gabriel Nero, whom she shares with her husband Franco Nero.

Earlier this month, documentary filmmaker Stephen Soucy spoke with PEOPLE about his new film, Merchant Ivory — which shares the story of American director James Ivory and the work of his late producer and life partner Ismail Merchant through Merchant Ivory Productions. During his interview in the film, Redgrave berates Soucy after asking her about her allegedly tumultuous time filming in 1984. Bostonians. “Darling, movies are not family effects. Please don’t go down that road. Come on,” she told the director.

As Soucy later shared with PEOPLE, his “name is on a long list of people Vanessa Redgrave scolded. Including Jim and Ismail.” Although he felt that Redgrave was “unresponsive” to the director’s questions, he said he still managed to get “a great shot from her and we turned it around.” Other stars who have spoken on camera for the project include Emma Thompson, Helena Bonham Carter, Hugh Grant and Rupert Graves.
“Stephen, I really enjoyed it,” he remembered Redgrave telling him after their conversation. “I really enjoyed talking about Merchant Ivory. Those years were so important to me.”
