An optical illusion shared by Venmo sends followers into a frenzy as they try to read the hidden message – can you crack the code without anyone’s help?
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the widely used mobile payment service shared a photo of heart-shaped sunglasses with words written on them.

The illusion is hard to read at first, requiring viewers to think outside the box to solve it.
“We have a message that will make you blush,” Venmo wrote in the description.
At first glance, the image appears to be a QR code, but using your phone’s camera won’t help you figure it out.
However, your phone could come in handy if you’re in a pinch.
There is a hidden message written in blue letters on the lenses of the sunglasses, but it is hard to tell with the pink design.
If you can read without any help, you may just have sharper eyes than most.
But if you’re still struggling, Venmo offered some advice.
“Shoot this post and use a pink highlighter to see what it says,” read the rest of the caption.
By taking a screenshot of an image, you can find it saved in your phone’s Photos app.

After that, you can tap to edit the image and then choose to draw on it with the marker tool.
Using a dark pink highlighter and drawing hearts, you will be able to reveal the hidden message.
“You’re my Venmo crush.”
The post then invites viewers to mark their “Venmo crush” after solving the puzzle.
Many people admitted that they were quite confused by the illusion.
“For a second I thought I was color blind,” said one commenter.
“Yes, I’m color blind,” said another commenter.

The pink heart color is very similar to other pink lips, so it’s hard to find.
