Victoria Beckham Jokes 'Give Me My Husband Back' as David Goes into Farmer Mode with Chickens and Vegetables

David Beckham is in his farming era!

On Saturday, September 7, the 49-year-old soccer legend took to Instagram to share a detailed look at his growing outdoor garden and farm โ€” complete with the appearance of his chickens.

The tour, which he uploaded in the form of a lengthy clip that he jokingly refused to shorten at the request of his wife Victoria Beckham, even received a hilarious response from the fashion designer, 50, when she reposted it on her Instagram Stories.

“Who is this man,” she wrote alongside a stack of chicken stickers and a Memoji crying with laughter. “Give me back my husband!”

Victoria Beckham responded to husband David’s latest farm video on her Instagram stories.

While her husband is certainly around, she seems to be going all-in on her green-fingered hobby and love for her chickens, months after she gave them to him for Christmas.

David’s detailed video began by wishing his followers “good morning” and sharing a sneak peek of their five chickens while wearing a green plaid shirt and hat. He then turned his attention to the garden at the couple’s Cotswolds home, including some scallions, wildflowers, plums, kale and cabbage.

“So it’s not bad,” David said in the video as he proudly walked around his vegetable patch and garden. “And then, we have a lot of potatoes. I’m actually going to make some chips today because I’m a person who likes salty, not sweet.”

David then turned his attention to a “berry patch” in his garden, before reminding his followers that they had just experienced the “morning news” of his latest farming venture.

“My Kale is fine ๐Ÿ˜† I can hear my East End friends saying ‘He’s changed’ ๐Ÿ˜†,” David captioned the shot. “My wife told me to shorten the video, but apparently she wasn’t listening, so I’m sorry… My content used to be a motorcycle and camping is now Kale, honey and flowers for the house ๐Ÿค””

And while David admitted he “might have to get back on the road soon” – while sharing a motorcycle emoji – he wrapped up his caption with a message to Victoria: “You’re welcome for flowers for the house ๐ŸŒบ.”

Victoria may have been joking around on social media this weekend, but mostly she was supportive of David’s love of gardening. In June, Victoria posted a video on her Instagram Stories of her husband planting pink roses on one of their properties as she hysterically zoomed in on his bum as he dug around with a shovel.

“OK, so it’s just a normal Saturday in the country. David’s doing a bit of gardening,” Victoria said at the time, before telling him: “You’re looking good!”

Aside from their garden party, David also praised Victoria last month during a Bowers & Wilkins event in New York on August 27, when he raved about her style and credited her with inspiring him to try new looks.

“She always gave me that confidence and, and she still does, even after 27 years,” David said of his wife, with whom he celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary on July 4. “She still gives me that confidence that, you know, wanting to look good and wanting to feel good.”

“She has a huge influence on my style,” he added later. โ€“ When I put something on, I know by her reaction whether I should take it off or leave it on.
