Vijayveer started shooting at a very young age and received professional training under coach DS Chandel. He has participated in and won many national and international shooting championships. In 2018, Vijayveer made his debut in the men’s junior category of 25 m standard pistol at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, where he won the gold medal. In 2021, he won three gold medals at the World Championships in Lima, Peru. Vijayveer Sidhu represents India at the 19th Asian Games (2022) in Hangzhou, China in 2023. He won a bronze medal in shooting in the men’s 25 m pistol rapid fire team event along with teammates Anish Bhanwala and Adarsh Singh. However, Vijayvir failed to be among the medal winners as he finished fourth with 21 points in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol shooting final. At the 2022 Asian Games, the Indian men’s trio finished third with 1718 points, China won the gold medal with 1765 points and South Korea won the silver medal with 1734 points.
