Viola Davis is a vision in lilac.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, turned heads on the red carpet Thursday night at The Albies in New York City.
At the event hosted by Amal and George Clooney, Davis wore a form-fitting, off-the-shoulder lilac dress that fell to the floor before falling into a delicate train. She accessorized with drop earrings and a sparkling bracelet.
For glam, Davis opted for a matchy-matchy look, wearing purple eyeshadow to match her dress. She also sported rosy cheeks and bold plum lips to complement her bright white smile as she posed for photos on the red carpet. The actress even threw out a peace sign to show her good mood.

Davis knows how to make an impression on the red carpet, often opting for elegant yet daring looks that showcase her impeccable fashion sense.
For the Golden Globe Awards earlier this year, she wore a brilliant blue Jason Wu gown with a glamorous glow. The beautiful one-sleeve dress trailed behind her as she walked the carpet – meaning she picked up a healthy amount of rainwater along the way. Still, The King’s wife the star rocked like a pro.
“Viola is wearing a royal blue dress and her hair is blown up in a big afro, so I wanted her makeup to be bright, but clean and simple,” makeup artist Sergio López-Rivera said in a statement about the glamorous moment. “The final look is airy and casual yet sophisticated, perfect for the Golden Globes.”
Davis’ stylist Elizabeth Stewart shared behind-the-scenes pictures of their getting ready process, highlighting the “brilliant hair and makeup” of López-Rivera and hairstylist Jamika Wilson.
