The trailer begins with everyone gathering around a group of Christmas trees and singing carols. Mel and Jack hold hands and look around in amazement. Someone declares, “Merry Christmas!” and the crowd erupts into cheers.

Then Mel says she is looking for her biological father. “I want to know more about what happened,” she explains.

The city is preparing for the holidays with a Christmas tree decorating competition. Denny (Kai Bradbury) unwraps the awards with Doc (Tim Matheson) and Hope (Annette O’Toole) and remarks that he didn’t know the competition was so competitive. When asked what the main prize is, Doc replies, “It’s Christmas Eve and the year of bragging rights.”

Denny and his girlfriend Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) seem to be picking up where they left off in episode ten, where she made the shocking discovery that she might be pregnant. However, she has her doubts about motherhood. “What if I can’t handle it?” she cares. “What if I’m not a good mom?”

Brie (Zibby Allen) casually approaches Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth), who asks if she’s following him. She looked up to see mistletoe hanging above them. Brady notices this too, his lips curling into a sly smile.
