Annette O’Toole, who plays Hope McCrea on the show, revealed back in May that filming of the sixth season would take place after the strike subsided, which industry insiders predicted would take place in the fall.
Ahead of the release of the fifth season, Alexandra explained that due to the strike, she was unable to return to work or discuss anything “work-related”.

In a video shot in her kitchen, she said: “I feel like I’ve been cooking since I got back from dropping my daughter off at school. I’m trying to do something fun and creative with my time because SAG is on strike and I can’t go back to work and I can’t even nor talk about work.
