Wade Hayes was born on April 20, 1969 in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, and raised there. Don Hayes, his father, is also an accomplished country singer. Wade was motivated by his father to pursue a singing career. Ayes played the banjo as a kid, and after seeing him do it, his father bought him a guitar. Then he started performing it. When he was eleven years old, his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

Career
When he returned to Nashville, he collaborated with Chick Rains. He organized a singing rehearsal with producer Don Cook. (Mavericks, Brooks & Dunn). He managed to satisfy him and it was a significant turning point in his career. Then they thought about cooperation. Wade finally gets hired after meeting with Columbia Records officials. Moving on, he released his second record, Old Enough to Know Better, in 1995. The song was an immediate success, reaching number one on the singles chart. With this single, the Academy of Country Music nominated him for the best new male singer of the year in 1995.
He just released his second record, On a Good Night. It was released in the summer of 1996. However, it did not achieve the same level of success as the first, despite good financial sales. His third CD, When the Wrong One Loves You Right, was released in 1998. The song was also very successful and was a Top 10 hit. In 2000, he released Autoceste and Heartaches. Hayes left Monument Records and formed the McHayes combo with Mark McClurg in 2003. This duo made an EP for Universal South. However, it failed to gain widespread recognition. Then comes his debut song, “It Doesn’t Mean I Don’t Love You.”
It received positive feedback and ranked well in 41 countries. The album was retained by the company, and the couple split in 2004.
