The girl tweeted: “Are you discontinuing Walkers Max Flamin Hot??? I can’t find them anywhere.
– They are literally out of stock everywhere.
The Walkers Crisps team later responded: “We’re sorry, but Max Flamin Hot is no longer part of our range.
“We’ll let our team know you asked.”
The Max Flamin Hot chop comes just days after Walkers pulled another crunchy flavor from the shelves “without announcement”.
The company told customers it was no longer making the popular Quavers flavor, which only made a comeback two years ago.
The comment was in response to a fan asking what happened to the Quavers salt and vinegar flavor.
“Can’t find them anywhere,” they said on Xu, formerly known as Twitter.
Walkers replied, “We’re sorry to bother you, Linda, but we no longer make this flavor.”
The retro flavor first joined the Walkers line-up in 1993 and returned to shelves in 2021 alongside Quavers Prawn Cocktail following requests from fans of the crisp.
The fan replied: “And without an announcement. It’s a sad day”.
Fans of the soon-to-be-disappeared flavor include celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.
Shortly after the crunchy taste returned, she tweeted: “Why did I just discover Salt and Vinegar Quavers?”
Others were not so convinced.
After spotting the essential lunch, comedian Tim Vine said: “I’m just trying to decide if salt and vinegar flavored Quavers are a good idea or the start of the apocalypse.”
But since its comeback, the chips have gained a cult following.
One fan called them “the best chips ever” and added: “If they stop doing these salt and vinegar again, they’re mad.”
It comes after Walkers confirmed its Worcester sauce flavored crisps were “no longer part of our range”, leaving customers angry.
Additionally, the beef and onion flavor was discontinued last year.
The crisp brand has also revealed it has made a big change to the recipe of its Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations – and fans aren’t happy about it.
Meanwhile, chip fans in discotheques were devastated to learn that the hugely popular flavor had been discontinued.
The iconic brand is known for its delicious salt and vinegar treat, but it has ditched the salty snacks after discovering the much-loved edition has been discontinued.
Customers were becoming more and more confused as to why they couldn’t find Bacon Discos crisps on the shelves.
A confused customer wrote to manufacturer KP Snacks at X and asked: “What happened to the bacon flavored discos and do you ever plan to bring them back?”
To which a spokesperson sadly announced: “Unfortunately, the popularity of this snack has been on the decline for some time, so unfortunately production was no longer commercially viable and the product had to be discontinued.
“We have no plans to re-produce them in the near future. Sorry to break the bad news.”
