Washington Teen Charged for Allegedly Murdering Stranger on a Bus Without Provocation

Police in Washington are asking for the public’s help in locating a teenager they believe is connected to a murder.

On Oct. 16, King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives named 17-year-old Miguel Rivera Dominguez as a suspect in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Marcelo Da’jon Wagner. The crime was committed on October 3 around 5:10 p.m. while the two were passengers on a metro bus.

Authorities say the two men do not appear to know each other and are calling the shooting unprovoked.

Wagner was said to have been asleep when he was shot. There were about 15 other passengers in the bus at that time.

The indictment states that he “premeditatedly caused the death of another person, [Dominguez] caused the death of Marcelo D Wagner,” reports ABC News.

Dominguez had no criminal record.

“Without any provocation, and without actually ever communicating with the victim, the defendant fired five rounds into the victim’s head and neck at close range,” King County Prosecutor Leesa Manion said in charging documents, according to ABC News. “The accused then fired two more shots through the door of the bus and fled to a place where he could change before returning home again.”

Manion argued that Dominguez’s actions were methodical.
