Emma Stone panicked at the Oscars!

The two-time Oscar winner, 35, was seen freaking out in a video released from backstage at the 2024 Oscars when she realized she was missing out on her film Poor people win a prize while chatting with guests.

In a funny clip he posted Party tonight on TikTok, Stone was seen deep in conversation with her husband Dave McCary and contestant Kirsten Dunst when she turned and pointed across the packed room at the television broadcasting the ceremony.

Then she stopped in her tracks and shouted, “Oh my God, it’s Nadia and I love her!” when she realized her co-stars Nadia Stacey, Mark Coulier and Josh Weston were on screen after she won Best Costume Design for Poor people.

Stone then patted her husband, 38, on the chest and put her hand on her head in panic before rushing through the crowd backstage to watch the team’s acceptance speech as her husband followed behind her.

The star won her second best actress award for her role as Bella Baxter in Poor people on Sunday evening. The film won a total of four Oscars, including Best Production Design and Best Makeup and Hair.

Stone suffered another mishap at the ceremony as she took to the stage to accept her award as she revealed in her speech that her dress had “torn apart” and blamed the wardrobe malfunction on her rendition of Ryan Gosling’s “I’m Just Ken”.

Emma Stone paired a mint peplum dress with a chunky diamond necklace at the 2024 Oscars.

Stone continued, “I was panicking the other night, as you can see, it happens a lot. Maybe something like this could happen, and Yorgos said to me, ‘Please get out of it.’ And he was right, because it’s not about me. It’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts. And that’s the best part about making movies. We’re all together.”

The Poor people star thanked her family and husband before ending her speech by acknowledging their 2-year-old daughter, Louise Jean.

“And, most importantly, my daughter, who will be 3 in three days and who has changed our lives,” Stone added. She then quoted friend Taylor Swift’s lyrics: “I love you more than the whole sky, my girl.” (Swift’s 2022 song “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” is from her album Midnight.)
