Mr. Beast paid for cataract surgeries for people who couldn’t afford surgery. Meanwhile, a YouTuber posted a video on YouTube on Saturday. So far, that video has racked up more than 32 million views. Jeff Levenson said: “Half of all the blind in the world are people who need a 10-minute operation,” referring to cataract surgery. “In the days and weeks after my own cataract surgery, I was amazed at how bright and beautiful and colorful the world was,” he said. “But I was struck by the idea that there are hundreds of millions, probably 200 million people around the world who are blind or nearly blind from cataracts and don’t have access to surgery.”
