Wayne Brady Involved in Physical Altercation After His Car Was Allegedly Hit by Driver Later Charged with DUI: Police

Wayne Brady was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with another driver after his car was allegedly hit by a man Sunday night who was later charged with DUI.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to PEOPLE that the crash involved two drivers — Let’s make a deal host and a 51-year-old man — on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.

Following the incident, PEOPLE has learned that the drivers allegedly got into an intense argument that turned physical when they stopped to exchange information.

“Wayne is very upset about this drunk driver incident. As a father, he was just thankful that his daughter or anyone’s child wasn’t faced with this,” a source told PEOPLE. – He kept thinking what if it was his daughter.

Brady, 51, called 911, but the other driver reportedly drove off before authorities arrived, according to TMZ, which first reported the news. The comedian did not have to go to the hospital after the fight.

Authorities tell PEOPLE the other driver was later arrested for hit-and-run and hit-and-run after the incident. A source confirmed that Brady filed charges against the other driver.
