It is easy to underestimate how many symbols we encounter in our daily life. Take the Olympic rings, for example, or the logo of your favorite sports team—everywhere you look, symbols abound, communicating so much in the span of a few lines and colors.
Why are symbols so important?
- They are embedded in countless spiritualities and cultures. Almost every culture and belief system that has ever existed or will ever exist has its own set of symbols that have evolved throughout history. These symbols are unique to the cultures and beliefs from which they originate and offer a rich connection and sense of history to their roots.
