What You Missed During the Golden Globes 2024 Live Broadcast

The 81st Golden Globe Awards aired live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on CBS and Paramount+

It’s the end of the Golden Globes 2024!

This year’s start of the awards season Bear and Oppenheimer great victory, a Suits reunion and Taylor Swift rejects host Jo Koy’s joke about her.

Steven Yeun saluted the driver whose road rage incident inspired him Beef when he won for the limited series. Emma Stone made a rare comment about how much she loves husband Dave McCary when she accepted the award for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. America Ferrera gushed over Kevin Costner reciting some of her lines Barbie speech. Paul Giamatti complained that his knees were “cracking” when he came on stage to accept the award for The Holdovers. And Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig made the audience laugh by dancing while presenting the award.

The biggest scams and surprises of film nominations for the Golden Globe 2024

Before the ceremony began, Gillian Anderson took her seat at table 117 and Julia Garner came over to hug her. Anderson told PEOPLE that what she loved most about her dress was that it was “covered in peonies!”

Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso walked to their table holding hands, where they sat with Damon’s friend Ben Affleck. Selena Gomez sat down at her table next to Harrison Ford. Ford had a big smile on his face as the two started talking. Gomez told PEOPLE of her dress, “I love the symmetrical line. Having a cut on the dress was really edgy and fun.”

Martin Short saw Ford at his desk and said, “I’m coming to hug you,” before getting up from his desk to hug Ford. Swift took her seat and entertained the guests at her table with her glass of champagne. As the guests were told to be seated, Gomez leapt from her table to run and hug Florence Pugh, shouting across the packed ballroom, “How do I get to you?”

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner held hands as they found their seats. Later in the night they shared a kiss.

After the show started, Swift showed her support Succession and stood and applauded for Matthew Macfadyen’s Best Supporting Actor win.

During a commercial break, Jodie Foster was quick to congratulate Robert Downey Jr. on his Best Supporting Actor win. Jennifer Lawrence and Lenny Kravitz had Hunger Games reunion. Stone received hugs from Ryan Gosling and Jennifer Aniston for her win, plus one from Swift before returning to her desk. Swift left shortly after 7:00 PM PT after they announced the winner for her category Eras Tour the concert film was nominated for film and cinema-box-office achievement.

With an hour left in the show, supporting actress competitors Emily Blunt and Da’Vine Joy Randolph went into a long hug. Blunt also mingled with Stone inside the ceremony.

Where to stream all the movies and TV shows nominated for the Golden Globes

Mark Ruffalo’s wife Sunrise Coigney spent most of the night watching the series from the actor’s lap. Ford enjoyed most of the ceremony with his in 1923 costar Helen Mirren, as the two chatted casually throughout the evening.

Meanwhile, on the livestream, Steven Spielberg kissed Meryl Streep on the mouth, while Foster chatted with Billie Eilish.
