Spectators were left stunned and scratching their heads when the account asked them what they saw.

The well-known logo features a silhouette of a baseball batter ready to hit an oncoming ball.

But in a bizarre shift in perception, the attacker can be right-handed or left-handed.

The post quickly garnered thousands of likes and comments from people explaining their theories.

One wrote: “Left handed punching. Because of holding the bat.”

Another added: “Left. If he was batting right I don’t think you would have seen his fingers in the position in the photo,” with many others agreeing that the batsman was left-handed.

However, several people came forward to dispute the explanation and stated that the batsman was actually right-handed.

“Right looking over left shoulder,” said another person.

Despite a number of comments and theories, no one seems to have been able to agree on a definitive answer.

So some Instagram users gave up on the attempt and started joking instead.

“It’s a bird’s beak looking at a dot,” wrote one person.

“He definitely has hands, that’s for sure,” commented another.

But one helpful comment was left by an individual who gave some historical context to the discussion.

They said: “The silhouette should be based on Harmon Killebrew, who was right-handed. However, the designers made the decision to make the logo ambiguous, so it looks both left-handed and right-handed. Technically, both answers are correct.”

Despite rumors that Killebrew was the player featured in the logo, creator Jerry Dior stated that the logo was not made after a specific player.
