After Queen Charlotte, fans are more eager than ever for the return of Bridgerton, who will kick off the romance between Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton) in season three. So what’s going on with the main series and when will it hit Netflix? Here’s all we know…
The second season was released in March 2022, and filming for the third season lasted a year from July. It looks like the movie ended filming in early March 2023, when the cast shared footage of the ending party. Since the series is currently in post-production, we can expect the series to be released in late 2023 or early 2024. However, it’s all speculation as Netflix has yet to confirm a date. exactly for the eight-part series – yet!

What will Bridgerton’s third season be about?
While season two focuses on the relationship between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, season three will focus on his younger brother Colin – and examine his relationship with Penelope Featherington. The pair have been friends for a long time and Penelope has long been in love with Colin – but the end of the second season changed all that.
In the episode, Penelope is devastated after hearing Colin joke behind her back about his relationship with her, telling friends he would never “dream” of flirting with her. Impolite!

The synopsis revealed, “Penelope Featherington has finally let go of her longtime crush on Colin Bridgerton after hearing his disparaging words about her last season.
“However, she decided it was time to marry a husband, preferably one who would give her enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. But. lacking confidence, Penelope’s attempts at marriage failed spectacularly.”

When will the Benedict Bridgerton plot take place?
Although Benedict’s romance with Sophie took place in the third novel, the order of the series was changed to focus on Colin and Penelope’s romance in the third season. However, we think the final four could have Luke Thompson (who plays Benedict) taking center stage – but we won’t know for sure until season three is released!

Luke opened up about his character’s gender with Entertainment Weekly, saying, “Benedict is generally very nice, open and versatile, and really fun to play because he can go anywhere. …Obviously, there’s a way to go, so we’ll see what happens with Benedict, but we’re only in season two, so there’s plenty of room for him to explore things. different.”
