Lucas was born in New York but spent part of his childhood in Geneva, Switzerland before moving to New Canaan, Connecticut when he returned to the United States. After succeeding in high school, Lucas decided to play college football at TCU. His skills caught the attention of NFL scouts, and the Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Lucas has endured obstacles throughout his pro football career, including being on the reserve/PUP list. Despite these obstacles, he contributed to the Chiefs’ success, winning his first Super Bowl ring when the club defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

Lucas made history as the first Frenchman to play in and win the Super Bowl. Continuing his success, Lucas won his second Super Bowl title when the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
