Ashley Benson and Brandon Davis became parents!

In November 2023, after Davis announced their engagement on Instagram in July, PEOPLE learned that he and Benson had tied the knot. That same month, PEOPLE confirmed that the couple was expecting their first child together, and in February 2024, they revealed that their baby had arrived.

The Sweet little liars The actress and the oil heir first sparked romance rumors in January 2023 after they were spotted sitting courtside at a basketball game. PEOPLE confirmed their relationship next month.

“They have a lot of mutual friends and are both super fun and very social people,” said a source close to the couple.

Davis, who is the grandson of billionaire oil tycoon Marvin Davis, was making headlines long before he met Benson. In the mid-2000s, he often partied with Paris Hilton and briefly dated actress Mischa Barton.

He is the heir to an oil fortune

The grandson of a billionaire oil tycoon, Davis is the heir to an enormous fortune. His grandfather, Marvin Davis, built his fortune with lucrative deals in the oil and entertainment industries.

According to his 2004 The New York Times obituaries, the elder Davis sold his oil holdings in the early 1980s and began investing in entertainment and real estate, buying companies such as 20th Century Fox, the Pebble Beach Company, the Aspen Skiing Company and the Beverly Hills Hotel.

He has four brothers and sisters

Davis has two brothers, Alexander and Jason, and two half-sisters, Mariella and Isabella Rickel, from his mother’s second marriage.

Jason Davis, the actor best known for voicing Mikey Blumberg on the ABC animated series Dentdied of a fentanyl overdose in February 2020 at the age of 35.

He dated Mischa Barton

In one video Hilton released in 2013, she and Davis were photographed at a Jay-Z concert with nightclub owner Richie Akiva. “Slaying at a Jay Z concert with my crew 🎶❤️🎶👬👯,” Hilton wrote alongside the photo.

He worked as an art curator

After his public friendship with Hilton collapsed, Davis spent several years largely out of the public eye. In 2016, he returned by launching an art pop-up in Beverly Hills. The exhibition was called “Malpais” and featured the works of the Mexican artist Bosco Sodi.

“I love Bosco’s work. He reminds me of Yves Klein, an artist I loved growing up, and he has his own touch. He’s unique in his own way,” he told The Hollywood Reporter 2016 “Just following my passion. I’ve been an art collector for years. I moved on to start Brandon Davis Projects. I see an opportunity to bring artists that don’t have representation to LA and possibly other cities.”

He and Benson were first linked in January 2023

Davis and Benson sparked romance rumors when they sat courtside together at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game in January 2023. Less than a month later, they were photographed on a double date with actress Emma Roberts and her boyfriend, Cody John, in photos that Only Jared came.

During a January 2024 interview with LADYGUNN, Benson spoke about meeting Davis at the right time.

“I was becoming the person I always wanted to be. And I just wanted to let it go and see where life takes me. Which is ironic, when I connected with Brandon,” she said. “It was immediate. I thought, ‘I think I’m going to marry you.’ ”

His relationship with Benson was confirmed in February 2023

In February 2023, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed Davis and Benson’s relationship. However, the two kept their relationship mostly private.

“I usually keep my relationships private,” Benson said Cosmopolitan Great Britain 2021, shortly after breaking up with rapper G-Eazy. “Obviously you can’t help being photographed together. [But] it is more sacred that way. Those private moments are for you and your partner and I think it’s best not to be overexposed, and you can really protect your relationship if you don’t take advantage of it.”

Before her relationship with the “Him and Me” artist, Benson dated model and actress Cara Delevigne for two years.

In July 2023, Davis announced the couple’s engagement when he posted a photo of Benson with a huge diamond on his ring finger to his Instagram Story. “Love of my life,” he wrote over the photo.

Benson re-shared the post, writing, “My best frienddddd I love you.”

The actress also reposted actress Theresa Picciallo’s Instagram story, which shows Benson showing off her ring during a video call. “Our babies are getting married!!!!!!” Picciallo wrote over the photo. “@ashleybenson & @brandondavis1111, we love you both unconditionally, endlessly, forever and always. Congratulations to our best friends!!!”

He and Benson were married in late 2023

About three months after the couple got engaged, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Davis and Benson tied the knot. News of their wedding broke just days after Benson’s mom posted a photo of the couple wearing wedding bands.

He and Benson welcomed their first child in February 2024

In November 2023, Benson confirmed her pregnancy while shopping at the Babylist Beverly Hills Showroom. Davis and the actress, who showed off her growing baby bump in a black dress, were spotted casually browsing through baby clothes and supplies for their gift registry.

A few months later, she shared that her baby was born in a post on her Instagram Story. In February 2024, she posted a photo of her newborn’s hand wrapped around her finger, simply adding “🩷” to the image.
