Who Is Francisco Lindor’s Wife? All About Katia Reguero

Francisco Lindor’s biggest supporter on and off the field is his wife, Katia Reguero.

The New York Mets third baseman married Reguero in December 2021 after they had a daughter a year earlier. In June 2023, their second daughter Amapola Chloé was born.

Although they have already experienced several major life milestones together, Lindor admitted The ultimate life in March 2023 that he is still “learning her ways” when it comes to his wife, and even took a test to better understand her “love language.”

“I ask questions. I try to understand, and my wife taught me to listen to her,” he told the newspaper. “I learned to try to communicate a little better with Katia.”

“Actually, she says that men’s frontal lobes close after age 28 or 29. And now that I’m 29, I guess I’ve fully developed,” he joked.

So who is Francisco Lindor’s wife? Here’s everything you need to know about Katia Reguero and her relationship with the baseball player.

She connected with Lindor via Instagram

The photo Reguero posted caught Lindor’s eye on Instagram, and the rest is history, he explained to New York Post in April 2022. “I messaged her on Instagram,” he said. “Her picture came up and I thought, ‘This girl is gorgeous!’ ”

“We talked for three months and then I met her in Arizona because I was there for spring training,” he added. “We were just hanging out and I said, ‘I think she’s the one.’ At first I was a bit like, ‘Ahh, I don’t really want to commit,’ but I knew she was the one.”

She and Lindor have two daughters together

On November 4, 2020, the couple welcomed their daughter, Kalina Zoé. The little girl is often seen supporting her father at his games and is also a big fan of Buck Showalter, the manager of the Mets.

After his team beat the San Diego Padres in Game 2 of the 2022 National League Wild Card Series in October, Lindor sat in a press conference, his daughter joining him as a special guest. However, she wasn’t as interested in hearing her dad’s answers as she was in locating Showalter.

“Daddy, Buck!” she said to Lindor, pointing off camera.

“Yeah, Buck’s gone,” he told the child, telling reporters, “She loves Buck.”

In January 2023, Lindor and Reguero announced that they were expecting their second child together. They shared a joint post on their Instagram accounts with the baby news, writing: “Celebrating love and baby número dos coming in June 2023 🥰 #soontobefamilyof4.”

Five months later, their second daughter, Amapola Chloé, was born on June 17, 2023. A few days later, Reguero took to Instagram to share a video montage of her home birth experience and a photo of Kalina with her new sister.

“My second home birth. I prayed for this birth team + the timing of Amapola’s birth and God answered my prayers,” she wrote in the caption. “I couldn’t have done it without the best support system. Special thanks to my midwives and my husband @lindor12bc who was by my side every second of my birth. I’m blessed!”

She married Lindor in 2021

Lindor and Reguero were married on December 16, 2021 at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida. The couple exchanged personal vows during their first look, and their daughter walked down the aisle with Lindor.

Reguero had her heart set on the tropical location, which was completely booked during the Mets’ offseason from November to February, “except for one day in December,” the bride told Martha Stewart Weddings, “so it was basically chosen for us.”

The newlyweds enjoyed their first dance to a version of Andrea Bocelli’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” with which Reguero had a special connection.

She explained to the outlet: “I grew up listening to Andrea Bocelli and I’ve always loved this song. I shared it with Francisco a while after we started dating, and it was the first song that came to mind when it came time to pick something for ourselves our first dance.”

She is the host of the podcast

Reguero started her podcast, Non-parent, in August 2022, who, according to his Instagram, shares “invisible truths about parenting.” Guests included her husband, former Miss Universe Puerto Rico Mariana Vicente, mental health professionals and others, and interviews were conducted in English and Spanish.

“I do this podcast as much for myself as for others,” she said in her first episode. “I needed a creative, intellectual, stimulating outlet, and it came from wanting to start the conversations I felt I might need when I was pregnant and becoming a parent, and those first few months were so overwhelming.”

She added: “And there didn’t seem to be enough authentic conversations about what parenting really is.”

She is Lindor’s backup

Reguero is often seen cheering for Lindor at his games. She documents their lives on and off the baseball field on social media, even during difficult times.

A brawl immediately erupted on the field when the shortstop was hit in the face by a pitcher during the fifth inning of a game against the Washington Nationals in April 2022. Luckily, Lindor passed a concussion test and had clear X-rays, but the resin tooth was broken.

“The strongest person I know, both mentally and physically,” she wrote on Instagram after the close call.

She and Lindor continue to grow together

Learning the right ways to give and receive love from one another is an integral part of a couple’s relationship, says Lindor. In an interview with The ultimate lifethe baseball star opened up about communicating with his wife and what they’ve learned from each other over the years.

“Just sitting on the couch with my wife is quality time,” Lindor said.

“We can be next to each other, watch a stupid show, and that’s quality time,” he added. “Her quality time looks different, but I’ve learned to be able to communicate and say, ‘Hey, I need, I need some time, some quiet time, just to myself.’ And she understands.”

He added that the two continue to grow each day in their relationship.

“From what I’ve seen, I’ve learned that we definitely need to work on growing together, because if we start growing in different ways, that’s a problem,” Lindor said.
