Before moving to the United States, Emily (née Foxler) was born on August 3, 1984 in Uppsala, Sweden. Not much is publicly known about her early life, except that in her adolescence she realized she had a passion for acting.

“I met Emily shortly after she moved from Sweden and she had an accent and I thought, ‘Soon as that accent goes away, she’s going to be a leading lady in American movies,'” said director James Ward Byrkit in an interview with Obligatory.com.

“I am 100% Swedish and now you will probably hear [the accent,]Emily added. “When people know [I’m Swedish] they’re like, ‘Ah, there it is.’ ”

Emily’s first acting credit dates back to 2005 The elephant room short. Until 2007, she appeared in one episode How I Met Your Mother.

Her most notable credits include a role in the 2019 drama Justin Five feet apart and the lead role in the 2013 Byrkit mystery Coherence.

“I’ve been in LA for eight years and since then I’ve been studying, in feature films and a lot on TV,” Emily said in a 2013 interview with Mandatory.com. “Jim and I used to work together so he called me and said that he and Alex [Manugian] worked on this thing and that it was an experiment,” added Fr Coherence.

Justin proposed to Emily in 2013 at Blu Jam Cafe, the location of their first date. Soon, a YouTube video of the moment went viral in part because of the complexity of the proposal.

– On April 13, I proposed to my girlfriend Emily at the restaurant where we had our first date – Justin wrote in the title of the YouTube video that has more than 14 million views. “I told her I was running late, had the restaurant open just for her and put hidden cameras all around her. When she sat down at the table, in front of her set was a television that took her on a journey that would lead her to the offer of a lifetime.”

Throughout the video, Justin sang songs, started a flash mob and proposed to her.

“I just kept saying to myself: ‘This is not a proposal! This is not a proposal! It’s something else,’ said Emily Party tonight. “He is a master of surprises. The master.”

About three months after Justin and Emily’s proposal video went viral, the couple tied the knot in Corona, California.

Love was at its peak during their wedding ceremony, with Justin exchanging a number of heartfelt words with his wife shared in a clip posted on Full Frame Cinema’s YouTube channel.

“I want to start my vows to you with an apology: I’m sorry for all my mistakes, shortcomings, insecurities and my ego and for everything I’ve ever done or said that hurt you and for everything I’ve led myself to this relationship that wasn’t pure ,” Justin said. “With that apology comes a promise. Emily, for the rest of my life I will treasure you, cherish you, listen to you, laugh with you [and] I will take care of you.”

They share a daughter and a son

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in a short film titled Justin and Emily: Surprise. The pregnancy announcement video has garnered more than 3 million views.

On June 27, 2015, the daughter of Justin and Emily Maiya Grace was born.

Filming seems to be part of the couple’s way of announcing special news, as Emily’s second pregnancy was announced by the parents on May 19, 2017 in Justin and Emily: The Surprise Part 2 via Justin’s Wayfarer Studios YouTube channel.

On October 18, 2017, they welcomed a son, Maxwell Rolando-Samuel Baldoni.

“Our little Maxwell Roland-Samuel Baldoni came into this world on Wednesday and showed us that it is possible for our hearts to double in size … again,” they told PEOPLE exclusively.

“Maiya is so excited to have a baby brother and is already helping him change diapers and giving him tons of kisses,” Justin and Emily said. “We want to thank everyone for all the love and prayers. We are so grateful.”

She helped Justin start the Skid Row Carnival of Love

In addition to his many acting, producing and directing efforts, Justin founded the annual Skid Row Carnival of Love. The event, held annually in January, paired volunteers with a homeless or homeless person who lived near Skid Row as they went through the carnival experience together.

“We make food for 6,000 people. All my friends from various film caterings get together and we make a big barbecue. At the end of the day, it culminates in a dance party with some of LA’s best DJs,” said Justin The Hollywood Reportin 2019.

Emily helped Justin start the Carnival of Love, although the annual event was canceled in 2022 due to the pandemic.

On the cover for 2019 Mini Justin showed his appreciation for Emily’s influence on their two children.

“I hope he grows up to have a lot more of her than I do,” the actor said. However, Justin hopes to inherit one of his best traits. “But I hope they have my sense of humor because I’m definitely funnier,” he added.

Emily also praised her husband’s parenting approach.

“Justin has an amazing way of bringing magic to the smallest moments,” Emily explained. “The children’s eyes light up whenever he walks into the room.”
