Who Is Missing IIT Hyderabad Student
The Visakhapatnam police subsequently discovered his body on the beach on Tuesday morning. The body of a 21-year-old tribal youth who had been missing since last week and was a second-year engineering student at the Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad (IIT-H) was found on Tuesday on the Ramakrishnapuram beach in Visakhapatnam, according to authorities.
According to Sangareddy Inspector of Police Sudhir Kumar, the student had been missing from his IIT-H dorm room since July 18, which was the last day his parents could get in touch with him. According to preliminary investigations, the student might have committed suicide. The Sangareddy police located his phone in Visakhapatnam, where surveillance footage from that day, July 19, showed him strolling by the beach.
In order to find him, the police and his parents traveled to Visakhapatnam on Monday. In vain, Kumar stated, “We looked for him on the beach road and looked at the CCTV tape to trace his activities. The Visakhapatnam police later discovered his dead on the beach on Tuesday morning, and they then alerted Sangareddy police officials working into the missing person’s case. “The body was recognized by his parents. The body would be given to them following the post-mortem, Kumar said, adding that it’s possible the youngster committed suicide due to depression. It wasn’t immediately obvious why he took the drastic action.
He was a second-year B-Tech (Mechanical) student at IIT-H, and he had asked permission from the school to stay on campus since he needed to finish three subject backlogs. The youngster stated he was in his dorm room studying when he last returned his parents’ calls on July 18. On July 19, when his parents contacted him once more, his phone was off. “His father Umla Nayak, a clerk in a government agency, visited the IIT-H hostel on July 19 in the evening to inquire about his son. He was informed by hostel warden M Gopinath that he had departed the facility on July 17. Nayak and the warden immediately reported the incident to the police, according to the inspector.
