The Farz news agency reported that Mohammad Mehdi Karami was executed on 7 January 2023. It was the fourth execution of anti-regime protesters who took part in the Mahsa Amini demonstrations. Reports also indicate that prisoners threatened Mohammad Mehdi Karami with raping and assaulting him while he awaited his execution.
