Who Is Niall Horan's Girlfriend? All About Amelia Woolley

Niall Horan and his girlfriend Amelia Woolley are still going strong.

Although they were first linked in 2020, Horan and Woolley didn’t make their first public appearance until September 2021, when they attended his Horan & Rose Gala.

During their time together, the couple kept their relationship under wraps, but every now and then the former One Direction singer shares a bit of their romance, especially when it comes to the love songs he writes.

In fact, Horan has confirmed that the songs on his 2023 album are Showthey were written with her in his mind.

Outside of music, Horan and Woolley are seen together out and about, from going to concerts to attending the F1 Grand Prix.

Niall Horan’s Dating History

She played hockey in high school

Although she currently lives in London, Woolley grew up in Birmingham and attended Solihull School, a private school located in the West Midlands. Notable alumni include singer Philip Oakey of ’80s pop band Human League and journalist and Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond.

According to Solihull School’s 2010-2011 report card and achievement report, Woolley participated in sporting activities as a student. A keen hockey player, she was a member of the Birmingham & West Midlands U15 training squad.

While at Solihull, Woolley also studied English Literature, Business Studies and Psychology.

She worked in the fashion industry

Woolley studied fashion business at Istituto Marangoni, according to LinkedIn. While now an account manager at Budweiser Brewing Group, she was previously the commercial director of luxury shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood.

She has also worked for several other fashion brands throughout her career. Woolley has held roles at Dior, Chloé, ASOS and menswear brand startup Prevu Studio, to name a few.

She and Horan made their first public appearance at a charity event

They made their first official public appearance in September 2021, at Horan’s charity gala, the Horan & Rose Gala, at The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire, England. Woolley shared a photo on Instagram of the two posing side-by-side at the event with a brown heart and a wilting rose emoji as the caption.

The former One Direction singer helped raise more than €800,000 for the charity at the event alongside professional golfer Justin Rose, according to the Irish outlet Sunday world.

It inspired several songs on Horan’s album Show

While talking to ET Canada in June 2023. Horan said Woolley inspired the love songs on his album Show.

“She’s kind of taken aback, I guess,” he said when asked how his girlfriend initially reacted to being his muse. “Usually love songs are heartbreak songs, so it’s nice to be able to write better, you know, happier stuff.”

Horan and Woolley were photographed at the French Formula 1 Grand Prix in July 2022. Adorning the VIP lanyards and watching the action from the sidelines, the pair stood among Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes team.

The previous month, in June 2022, Horan and Woolley were seen at a concert by Horan’s former bandmate Harry Styles. Styles played Wembley Stadium in London as part of his UK and European Love on Tour legs, and fans were quick to say spot a couple in the crowd.

She and Horan are a private couple

While doing press for his album ShowHoran spoke publicly for the first time about his relationship with Woolley.

“That’s right,” he told Bustle when asked if he would consider himself “madly in love.”

The singer further explained why he decided to keep his relationship private.

“If everyone knew everything, [my songwriting] it wouldn’t be so honest, would it?” he said. “There would be all these theories, and I’m not in town for that. I’m here to write what’s on my mind, and love just happens to be one of those things that flies around me.”

Over the years, the pair have occasionally been seen together in public, including a shopping spree in London in May 2021 and a lavish vacation in Mexico in January 2022, where the PDA was on full display.

Woolley was also by Horan’s side when he was first spotted in public following the death of former One Direction bandmate and friend Liam Payne in October 2024. Horan and his girlfriend were photographed walking their dog in London, seen in photos published the New York Post.
