Peace officers were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder after 25 recruits suffered minor to serious injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Additional charges are currently pending, officials said, and the case is expected to be presented to the LA District Attorney’s office on Friday.

In that collision, 25 recruits suffered injuries ranging from head injuries to the loss of arms and legs. Finally, check, he remains hospitalized on a ventilator. Five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderately serious” injuries, and 16 have minor injuries.
