The Next Level Chef returns for a second season, with mentors Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Bais. 18 famous chefs will participate in the culinary competition, who will compete to prepare unique dishes and win the main prize. Pilar Omega, who has prepared for the Emmys, Oscars and NFL events, is one of the contestants scheduled to appear on the show. When her aspirations changed, she became a personal chef a year after giving birth in 2016. Watch the show on FOX after Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Pilar Omega, a contestant on the second season of Next Level Chef, opened her own food kitchen, Soul Fusion.
Pilar Omega, the executive director and chef of Soul Fusion, will join the second season of Next Level Chef. He has nearly a decade of experience in the professional kitchen industry and enjoys helping people eat better, live happier and more fulfilled lives.

“She focuses her cooking as a chef on providing fresh, delicious food that promotes optimal health and fitness. Her recipes are inventive, innovative and nutritious, with outstanding nutritional content.”
In an interview with Voyage Los Angeles 2021, the chef said that she has loved cooking since she was 5 years old and that food is an important part of her life. Her family has different culinary traditions, and her father often makes a hot sauce that she loves. The candidate for the Next Level Chef says she’s always wanted to discover, prepare and taste different foods and that traveling has allowed her to do so. During her college years, she often gave health presentations at local trade shows. This allowed her to give back to the community through food, and by 2011 she was 27 years old and started a farm-to-table snack bar in Redford, Michigan.

When she returned to Los Angeles the following year, she was motivated to be part of the culinary industry there and to seek out work options that would allow her to become famous. She quickly got a job at Home Girls Cafe and completed a sushi making course at Sushi Row. Her intensive training has allowed her to work as a sushi chef at Benihana in Santa Monica.
She then worked as a sushi chef and “Grab n Go lead” at Wolfgang Puck Catering. During her tenure at the catering company, she helped cater to Emmys, Oscars, Governor’s Ball, NFL, Sony Studios and other events. She quit her job at a famous catering company to become a personal chef. Before Covid, she worked as a full-time chef for some of the biggest names in music. She was able to build her brand during the quarantine and eventually founded Soul Fusion, her own food kitchen.
The cast of Next Level Chef Season 2 spoke to Voyage Los Angeles about the challenges she faces in the cooking profession. She noted that despite the fact that being a black woman in the industry was a challenge, she was able to forge her own path due to the lack of diversity in the food industry. He’s now entering Season 2 of the Next Level Chef for a year of mentorship with a world-renowned chef, as well as a $250,000 grand prize.
