Who Is Quinta Brunson’s Husband? All About Kevin Jay Anik

Quinta Brunson may be everywhere lately, but there’s one thing you won’t be hearing much about: her love life.

The actress first became famous with her series The girl who has never been on a nice date and has since received critical acclaim for her hit ABC show Abbott Elementary School.

Amid recent successes, she had the support of her husband Kevin Jay Anik. Although she doesn’t make a habit of posting it on social media, she did praise him during her speeches at the 2022 Emmys and 2023 Golden Globes.

“In case I don’t come back here again, I have to thank my mom, dad, siblings, my cousins… my wonderful husband for being the most supportive man I’ve ever known and my amazing cast and show for helping me to make this series and make a pilot,” she said during her historic win for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series at the Emmys.

She also mentioned Anika when she received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy in 2024, along with her loved ones.

“I didn’t prepare anything because I just didn’t think… Oh God. I love my mom, my dad, my sisters, my brothers, my whole family so much. I love my husband. I’m so happy. I love my cast. Oh, I love Abbott Elementary School. Thank you very much,” she said.

Although the exact date they got engaged is unknown, Brunson confirmed their engagement on Instagram in July 2020 with a photo of himself wearing a diamond ring on his left finger, along with a post simply titled “More good news.”

They keep their relationship super private

Brunson almost never posts about Anik on social media. In fact, she never publicly confirmed their marriage until she called Anika her husband in her speech at the Emmys. She later thanked him again while winning the 2023 Golden Globes for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.

He doesn’t seem to be on social media

Not only does Brunson rarely post about Anik, but he also doesn’t seem to have a public social media profile himself.

He is a big supporter of Brunson

Despite staying out of the limelight, Anik seems to be incredibly supportive of Brunson behind the scenes. In addition to calling him “the most supportive person” in her Emmy speech, Anik has supported the actress at several events, including the Time 100 Gala in June 2022, when she was recognized as one of the publication’s most influential people.

The couple attended the FWRD party in Los Angeles, which was held in honor of Dwyane Wade’s induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Brunson wowed in a colorful crop top and skirt, while Anik looked effortlessly cool in a Gucci jacket, black denim and white sneakers.
