Reneé Rapp and Towa Bird announced their relationship.
After hitting the road together for Rapp’s Snow Hard Feelings Tour, the duo made their red carpet debut as a couple at vanity fairAfter party of the Oscars on March 10.
The two were seen posing for photographers before getting comfortable inside, espresso martinis in hand.
Bird wanted to work with Rapp before that Euphoria magazinecalling the “Tummy Hurts” singer “so authentic” and stating that she learned “a lot” from her on tour.
Before Bird, Rapp was previously linked to TikToker Alyssa Carrington, whom she dated for nearly a year before confirming their split in February 2024.

She was born in Hong Kong
Bird was born on March 30, 1999 in Hong Kong to British and Filipino parents, although she grew up living in Thailand and London, according to NME.
During an interview with UCLA Radio, she noted that her family, who still lives in Hong Kong with her sister, brought her joy during difficult times.
“I’m so Filipina, what’s always been very important to my family and growing up is a sense of community — whether it’s friends or family,” she told the publication. Despite the distance between them, Bird noted that she is “very grateful” whenever she can catch up with her family.
She almost didn’t continue her music career

Speaking to ESPN in May 2023, Bird revealed that her early life was “primarily focused on sports” and that she even intended to pursue a career in sports “professionally” before getting involved in music. However, after learning to play the guitar when she was 12, she noted that her life had done a “complete 180”.
Bird went on to study at Goldsmiths, University of London, but dropped out after two years to pursue a full-time music career.
She went viral on TikTok for her music covers
Like many musicians, Bird was first discovered on TikTok. During COVID, she went viral on the social media app for her various music covers, attracting the attention of major stars in the process, including Billie Eilish and Tyler, The Creator.
She got her big break playing guitar for Olivia Rodrigo

After catching Olivia Rodrigo’s eye on TikTok, the “Brutal” singer opened up to Bird about playing guitar in her Disney+ documentary Driving home 2 Uwhich has followed her career since she released “Drivers License” in 2021. That same year, Bird signed to Interscope Records (the same label behind Rodrigo).
“I went from making songs in my room in London to landing in LA and being part of this massive production,” Bird told NME about working on the project. “I thought, ‘Wow: this is what my life could look like.'”

Before they announced their romance, Bird was the opening act on the US and European legs of Rapp’s latest tour, which kicks off in September 2023 in Houston and ends in March 2024 in Dublin, Ireland.
During the conversation with Euphoria magazineBird opened up about touring with Rapp and her other headlining act, Alexander 23, noting that both musicians are “both great at what they do and love what they do.”
“I learned so much from them every day, in a real way,” she said. “Reneé is so authentic. The personality doesn’t change… when he talks to me, he talks to me the same way he talks to his fans.”
The duo also shared the stage in November 2023, when Rapp performed her single “Tummy Hurts” during Late Night with Seth Meyers.
