Shay Mitchell and Matte Babel are raising two girls.

The couple, who have been romantically involved since 2017, welcomed their first child, Atlas Noah, in 2019. Atlas welcomed a sibling in May 2022 when Mitchell gave birth to her and Babel’s second daughter, Rome, who was named after the actress late grandmother.

The Sweet little liars the actress announced Rome’s arrival on Instagram with a touching post in which she mourned the loss of her grandmother and celebrated the expansion of her family.

While Mitchell and Babel are “life partners,” the couple has no plans to marry.

Mitchell, who studied acting in Toronto, told FOX411 in 2017 that the couple had known each other for several years and first started out as friends.

A year after Mitchell suffered a miscarriage in 2018, the couple welcomed daughter Atlas Noa in October 2019.

Ahead of Atlas’ arrival, Mitchell gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her pregnancy through her YouTube series Almost ready. The series showed Babel being with Mitchell every step of the way, from assembling the stroller and car seats to going to all her ultrasounds and cheering her on during the 33 hours of labor.
