MTV reality star Wes Bergmann has been married to his wife Amanda Hornick since 2018.

Bergmann, whom many may know from his appearances in several seasons Challenge as well as Real World: Austin made a bold first move on Hornick while they were both out at the bar. It apparently worked: The couple got engaged in 2016 and married in an intimate ceremony attended by some of his MTV pals in 2018.

The couple spends time in Kansas City, Missouri, where Hornick is a yoga instructor, lifestyle blogger and recruiter for a design firm. When she’s not busy with work, she often takes sweet photos of her husband and their dog Penny to share with the world.

What’s more, the two are expanding their family as Hornick is pregnant with their first child together. The couple announced the news in April, and Baby Bergmann is expected to arrive in September.

In a wedding anniversary post on Instagram, Hornick shared some fun details about how she and Bergmann first met.

“I’m SO glad you walked up to that table of 13 guys + me and told me I’m really pretty and you want to treat me to a drink, but only if I follow you to the bar across the street because you’re leaving,” she wrote in the description.

The MTV star asked Hornick to marry him in September 2016 at a Kansas City Royals baseball game. Not long after, he shared the exciting news on Instagram with a short and sweet caption. “She said yes!” he wrote.

A later post by Hornick on Instagram suggested she was completely surprised by the proposal. In honor of their four-year wedding anniversary, she shared behind-the-scenes details about the special moment.

“Anyone else who was so shocked when they proposed that they couldn’t answer for about 2 minutes. and made everyone else feel uncomfortable?? 😬🙋‍♀️,” she captioned her then and now photos.

The happy couple tied the knot on June 1, 2018, at the Overland Park Arboretum in Overland Park, Kansas. She wore a halter lace dress and carried a bouquet of white and pale pink flowers surrounded by greenery. She added sprigs of baby’s breath in her hair and eye-catching diamond earrings. He decided on a blue-green checked jacket, a light blue shirt and black pants.

On April 5, 2023, the couple shared the news that Amanda was pregnant. In a joint Instagram post featuring several photos of the couple posing alongside ultrasound images, they wrote, “Baby Bergmann, arriving this September.”

They thanked family and friends who supported them and shared a heartfelt message. “As we enter this new phase of life with immense gratitude, we also know the season of waiting and send love and strength to all who hope to one day become parents themselves,” their message read.

They have a Bernedoodle named Penny

As followers may have noticed from the Instagram photo that announced their pregnancy, Bergmann and Hornick are also pet parents. They share a dog named Penny, whose birthday is August 7, 2021, according to Hornick’s Instagram.

In a post celebrating Penny’s birthday in 2022, Hornick wrote: “Whether she’s stealing our socks and underwear and leaving them around the house in front of our guests, or just crawling into bed for cuddles… life is just better with her.”

According to her LinkedIn profile, she has been with HNTB since January 2018.
