“The Equalizer” is an American crime drama TV series that debuted on CBS on February 7, 2021. It is a reboot of the original series of the same name. The series was co-created by Richard Lindheim, Michael Sloan and Queen Latifah, who also stars as the title character. Other executive producers include John Davis, John Fox, Debra Martin Chase, Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller. Sadly, Lindheim died of heart failure in January 2021 while working on the show.
The series follows the adventures of the character Latifah, who uses her skills to help those in need and seek justice. It was renewed for a second season in March 2021, airing in October of the same year. The third and fourth seasons premiered in October 2022 and February 2024, respectively. The series was renewed for a fifth season in April 2024.
