Authorities said two vehicles were involved in an accident that occurred in Co Londonderry on Sunday May 28, 2023. A PSNI spokesperson said: “Ambulance services attended and provided medical treatment,” meaning officers who called 911 found the injured young driver. The spokesperson added: “Our investigation is ongoing and we are appealing to anyone in Glenshane Road at the time who has dash cam footage to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101.” Alex Smallwoods’ cause of death is reportedly related to injuries he sustained in the accident.
