ICC World Cup India vs Bangladesh: The ODI World Cup 2023 kicked off in action after New Zealand avenged their 2019 final defeat against England in the tournament’s inaugural match on October 5.
Since then numerous records have been broken and almost impossible feats achieved in cricket. Each game is more exciting than the last, and the last game was no different.
India and Bangladesh clashed in the 17th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Both teams played well and Bangladesh got off to an impressive start thanks to the opening 90+ run partnership between Liton
Das and Tanzid Hussain. However, India’s spin attack turned the tide and Bangladesh were reduced to 140/4 by the 28th over. Bangladesh’s middle order managed to help the team post a defendable total of 256/8 after 50 overs on the scoreboard.
The Indian team started with an explosive partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Sharma fell short of his fifty by 2 runs but Gill managed to score his first fifty in the World Cup. However, Virat Kohli was the MVP of the match. “Master of the chase” Virat Kohli scored his 78th international and 48th ODI century while finishing the game for India.
