Wild Moose Chases Skiers and Snowboarders Down Slope in Wyoming —Watch!

The moose was on the loose in Wyoming.

In a video shared on Facebook by Billy Fohey, the large animal races past skiers and boarders, charging down a slope at Jackson Hole Resort.

“Nothing like [taking] in the corner and almost hit a moose 10 feet from you and then watched it chase your friend down the hill,” Fohey wrote in the social media post, which included his friends Alex Momot and Kenneth William Rynearson.

In the clip, an individual behind the camera yells, “Hunt Kenny,” referring to a moose. Shortly after the cry, the animal appears to have reached the bottom of the slope and entered an area full of trees.

In another video of the incident shared via Storyful, people can be heard shouting, “Faster!” others on the hill to help them avoid a moose running through the snow.

“I caught some air and the moose was within 10 feet of me,” Fohey said Good morning America in a clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday. – I was moving quite fast.

Fohey added that he was “surprised” to see the animal, which he knew could be “very aggressive, especially in the wild”.

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources recommends giving elk space if you encounter them in the wild. The agency also added that if a moose charges at you, “hide behind something sturdy (like a tree) or try to get into a vehicle or building.”

This Wyoming moose incident comes after PEOPLE reported a cow moose attacking a woman in Colorado in September.

According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), a woman was walking her dog on a leash on the South Saint Vrain Trail north of Ward when the animal head-butted her multiple times and stomped on her.

The woman was transported to a local hospital after entering a neighbor’s home. Her dog also received minor injuries.
