Will Ferrell Says He's 'So Proud' of Anchorman's 'Legacy' as the Film Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary (Exclusive)

The Blades of Glory the actor began his segment at the roast with, “My name is Ron Burgundy. I’m a big deal, but tonight’s not about me. We are here to honor a champion on the field, a great American, a father and a sexy man, a true patriot – until he wasn’t, of course.”

Ferrell (as Burgundy) also kept talking about Brady’s “gorgeous” looks, from his cheekbones and “million-watt smile” to his eyes, noting, “A person could get lost in those eyes, and right now I’m that person.”

“Ron, pull yourself together. You’re a straight man,” he told himself at the Netflix podium. “Makes you question your sexuality. Stop looking at him. You’re here to make fun of him. Not to fall in love. Concentrate!”

Also on Despicable me 4 premiere, Ferrell channeled Burgundy by kicking off his campaign for this year’s PEOPLE Sexiest Man Alive.

On the red carpet, the star said she was “planting the seeds” to end up on the cover of the iconic publication “because you never have comedians”.

“So run it internally, okay? Sexiest man alive,” he added.
